- Preview
previous tests when available.
- Practice
sample test questions and time yourself.
- Speak
to your professors about their test style and the type of questions
that will appear on tests.
- In true-false
tests, if any statement is false, then that's not your choice.
- Absolute
terms such as "always" or "never" usually indicate
a false statement.
- Arrive
to class early and select the seat you want.
- Read directions
carefully.
- Upon receiving
a test, write key words and formulas down on scrap paper or on the test
sheet.
- Use a
brief outline for essay answers.
- Answer
easy questions first. This will build your confidence and foster recall
on other questions.
- Leave
space between answers in case you want to add information later.
- Check
your answers if time permits.
