Maureen Pernick Huber, Director

 

Maureen Pernick Huber is the Director of Co-op & Career Development and has been at Daemen College since 1997.  Prior to coming to Daemen, she was the Associate Director of the Career Center at Canisius College.  Maureen holds an M. Ed. in College Student Personnel Administration from Colorado State University, a B.A. in Speech Communication from SUNY Geneseo, as well as a Certificate from the Center for Studies in Creativity from Buffalo State College.  Maureen also obtained the qualification to administer and interpret the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). She is very involved with the Western New York Association of College Career Centers (WNYACCC), writes book reviews for the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), is a mentor through the National Career Development Association (NCDA), and has presented at professional conferences.

 

Krista Paszkowsky, Assistant Director

 

Krista Paszkowsky is the Assistant Director of the Office of Co-op & Career Development.  Krista joined the Co-op team in June 2005, after finishing her Master of Science degree in Student Personnel Administration from Buffalo State College.  Krista obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Public Communication from Ithaca College, with minors in English and Theater.  Krista currently serves on the Events Planners United and LEADS committees at Daemen College, is an active member in her local consortium WNYACCC (Western New York Association of Colleges Career Centers), and holds memberships in many national organizations.  She enjoys international travel, cooking, yoga, and spending quality time with friends and family.

 

Regina Rexford, Career Counselor

Regina joined the Daemen College Community in May 1997, as departmental assistant in the Co-op & Career Development Center.  In January of 2008 she was promoted to Career Counselor.  Regina is a member of Daemen College Classes of 2005 and 2009, receiving her Bachelor of Science in Art and Master of Science in Executive Leadership & Change. She acquired a certificate from coursework completed through NACE’s Career Coaching Intensive in Atlanta, Georgia.  Professional memberships include: National Association of Colleges and Employers, Western New York Association of College Career Centers, and The American Potters Association. Regina enjoys designing and firing unique raku pottery and jewelry, along with exhibiting at community-based art shows.

 

Nicole Duell, Administrative Assistant

Nicole Duell is the Administrative Assistant of Co-op & Career Development where she manages the website and updates the jobs and internship postings among other administrative work.  Nicole is a senior at Daemen College studying Psychology. She is the President of the Psychology club, a member of Who's Who among Students in American Universities and Colleges and recently interned with the Office of the Attorney General in Washington, DC. She plans on getting her PHD in Forensic Psychology after her undergraduate work is completed.
