Computer Recommendations

Recommended Minimum Configurations

The following recommendations pertain to the purchase of a new computer. Please keep in mind that we do provide as well as require residents to install Symantec Endpoint Protection. Purchasing additional antivirus software is not necessary or recommended.

Processor: Intel Pentium or AMD multicore processor
Memory (RAM): 4GB
Hard Drive: 200GB

**We would like to remind new and current students that Daemen is a wireless campus. Therefore laptops would be a preferred choice in regards to mobility and practicality.

Additional Recommendations

Printer: Printers are recommended but not required. On campus student computer facilities provide all students with 300 pages of free printing per semester. 
Flash Drive: 4GB or higher
Carrying Case: If a laptop, tablet or netbook is purchased a carrying case would be recommended for safe mobility.
