Problems with webmail?
Make sure that you have enabled pop-ups in your browser. Daemen Webmail requires that pop-ups be enabled.
- The best way to read and send email is with a POP client such as Eudora, Outlook, Thunderbird, or Outlook Express.
- One of these programs will be easy to set up on your computer, as long as you know how you are connected to the internet.
- All webmail systems are necessarily slower and less reliable than a POP client, because they put another server process between you and your email.
- You should continue to use webmail only if you are
- Happy with it, or
- Travelling or otherwise using a public computer that you do not control, or
- Such a casual user of email that you don't want to be bothered with even the minimal setup required for a POP client.
General Mail Client Configuration Information:
Incoming Mail Server (POP): daemen.edu
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): if you are on-campus, daemen.edu; if you are off-campus, use the Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server of your Internet Service Provider.
