Conferences &  Events provides direction and assistance to on-campus departments in planning and promoting meeting, conferences and events, registration services, budgeting and financial support to create successful educational and cultural learning experiences.  Please use our helpful links below for information about planning your next program  and how we can help you.

We coordinate major campus events such as Fall Convocation which opens each academic year, major speakers such as Carlos Fuentes (2009), Spike Lee and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., building Opening Events (such as Research & Information Commons) and College Anniversary Celebrations. Each year we coordinate the annual Academic Festival. We participate on many planning committees including Commencement, Orientation, Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament, Scholars Day and many co-sponsored programs and grants.

We schedule meeting space for administrative and academic offices (other than classes) and work collaboratively with Registrars, Student Affairs, External Relations and Library to provide a real-time campus wide events data base.  You can look up EVENTS at the College web site to find out what's happening on campus or view the entire events database at

If there is a question about a campus events...we usually know where to find more information!

The Conferences & Events Office promotes goodwill between the campus and surrounding community and Western New York area. We are the main point of contact for community groups that want to rent campus facilities and services for educational and professional programs.

For community groups, we are a one-stop-shop operation and we coordinate all services from initial agreement and deposit through final billing. We will coordinate all your support services such as maintenance set-ups, food service, instructional technology, computer access and security.  Because of space availability, large conferences and events can only be accommodated during summer months and semester breaks. During the summer months (end of May - early August) residential conference groups may be provided accommodations in Campus Village Apartments on campus.

"I think one of the most crucial aspects of the Daemen curriculum is the required internship. I was an accounting intern for both a private health care company and a certified public accounting firm. I was able to apply lessons learned in the classroom to real business situations. When my internships were over, each company offered me a full-time position."
