Criteria for Commencement Walking Eligibility

General Information

Non-graduating last semester students (undergraduate and graduate) are permitted to walk in the May Commencement ceremony provided they meet certain requirements at the time of the ceremony; that is, such students are cleared for walking in the same manner that graduating seniors are cleared.

You must apply in writing by completing the Commencement Walker Application form.  The deadline for acceptance of applications in the Registrar's Office will be due Monday, March 31, 2014.

Only students with approved walker applications will be permitted to walk at Commencement.  The application form will guide you through the process, and explain criteria requirements by which to gauge your walker eligibility.

"I think one of the most crucial aspects of the Daemen curriculum is the required internship. I was an accounting intern for both a private health care company and a certified public accounting firm. I was able to apply lessons learned in the classroom to real business situations. When my internships were over, each company offered me a full-time position."
