TRANSFER CREDIT POLICIES AND PRACTICES

There are several ways for students to earn transfer credits at Daemen College , as follows:
- Freshmen
-
Daemen College is the first post-secondary institution the
student is attending. While in high school/summer(s), the student has
either taken college-level course(s) at another college or through a college-sponsored
program, or has taken and passed (score 3, 4 or 5) an Advanced Placement exam
in one or more areas.
- Transfer
student - Student attended another college-level
institution after high school completion/GED, but did not earn a degree.
- Credential
Transfer -
Student attended another college-level institution
after high school and earned an associate's
or higher degree.
- Dual
Admission Agreements - Student is enrolled
at a community or junior college and is in a program in which a Memorandum
of Agreement/Understanding has been signed between that institution and Daemen
College , and which is specifically applicable from their course of study
at their institution to certain Daemen programs.
Dual
Admitted students receive academic guidance at their community or junior
college leading to their anticipated educational continuance in a specific
baccalaureate program at Daemen. In addition, such students have access
to information and activities from their Daemen department faculty and Daemen
administrative offices as “pre-Daemen” students.
