Office of Student Accounts

Taxpayer Relief Act of 1997
(Hope & Lifetime Learning Tax Credits)

The College will report to the IRS required information about students who were enrolled for at least one (1) credit hour in any semester in the 2006 tax year. Students will receive a 1098-T Tuition Payment Statement in the mail by February 1, 2008.

The 1098-T, along with your copies of billing statements, should be used by your tax preparer to determine your eligibility for a tax credit. Because each taxpayer's circumstances may vary, we cannot provide tax advice or assistance related to these tax credits. Any questions regarding how to claim them should be addressed to a qualified tax preparer.
