Taxpayer Relief Act of 1997
Hope & Lifetime Learning Tax Credits
The College will report to the IRS required information about students who were enrolled for at least one (1) credit hour in any semester in the 2009 tax year. Students will receive a 1098-T Tuition Payment Statement in the mail by February 1, 2010. The 1098-T may also be accessed by going to this website: www.1098-t.com and following the directions.
The 1098-T, along with your copies of billing statements, should be used by your tax preparer to determine your eligibility for a tax credit. Because each taxpayer's circumstances may vary, we cannot provide tax advice or assistance related to these tax credits. Any questions regarding how to claim them should be addressed to a qualified tax preparer.
