June 29, 2005 - Mattingly among hundreds of players that is owed money by Fleer - As reported by Beckett.com, hundreds of players are owed money by Fleer who recently went out of business. It is yet to be determined if any of the players, including Mattingly who is owed $23,000, will ever see a dime.

June 10, 2005 - Steiner Sports Announcement - On The Field Clinic at Yankee Stadium - Steiner Sports announces an On The Field Clinic at the House that Ruth Built. April 27, 2005 - Mattingly participates in charity event with George Toma - Mattingly, along with world-renowned groundskeeper George Toma participated in a charity event at Jackie Robinson Park in Harlem which was sponsored by MasterCard. January 7, 2005 - Yankees Spring Training Tickets go on sale - Tickets for the Yankees 2005 Spring Training season went on sale today. The 32-game spring training season starts for the Yankees on March 3 against the Pirates at Legends Field, Tampa, FL.
January 4, 2005 - HOF Results Announced - Once again Don Mattingly was shafted by the HOF election committee and was not elected this year. He obtained 59 votes or 11.4%. Since he got at least 5% of the votes he will be eligible to be put on next years ballot. Two players were elected into the 2005 HOF Class: Wade Boggs and Ryne Sandberg. Who else thinks that Mattingly got shafted? Let me know your thoughts!!!

November 29, 2004 - Mattingly on HOF Ballot for 2005 - Don Mattingly received enough votes last year to remain on the HOF ballot for 2005. Former Yankee Wade Boggs also hits the ballot for the first time. Results will be revealed on January 4, 2005.

November 10, 2004 - Yankee Coaching staff named for 2005 - Don Mattingly will return as batting coach for the 2005 season. Joe Girardi will return to the Yankees to be the bench and catching coach. Mel Stottlemyre will return for his 10th consecutive season as the Yankees pitching coach. The rest of the 2005 staff will be named at a later date.
