Recruiters on Campus (ROC) was initiated to offer Daemen University students and employers an opportunity to connect. FREE ROC tabling occurs in the Wick Lobby between the hours of 11:30 am – 1:00 pm on select Tuesdays or Thursdays.
- Only four employers will be permitted to attend per date.
- Only two recruiters per employer will be allowed to attend.
Employers are encouraged to arrive at 11:00 am to have time to find parking and set up their tables. ROC will be held in the Wick Lobby unless otherwise noted in your confirmation letter.
- One covered 6’ foot table
- Promotion via email, bulletin boards, faculty, and social media

Note: If you are one of the successful companies that picked your slot before it filled up, you will not hear from me until one month before when you will receive a confirmation email. If you registered too late for one of the slots, I will reach out to you to see if you want to switch your date to one of the available dates. If there are no dates available you will be notified that you have been placed on a waiting list for a cancellation.

Internships
An internship is a form of experiential learning that integrates knowledge and theory learned in the classroom with practical application and skill development in a professional setting. Internships give students the opportunity to gain valuable applied experience and make connections in professional fields they are considering for career paths. Internship Programs Under the Fair Labor Standards Act
Work Opportunity Tax Credit
The Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) is a Federal tax credit incentive that the Congress provides to private-sector businesses for hiring individuals from nine target groups who have consistently faced significant barriers to employment.
Online Recruitment Service through Handshake
Employers can create a Handshake account to post job and internship opportunities directly for students and alumni to view. Registered and approved organizations may also have the ability to search student and alumni resumes in Handshake. Posting position announcements and access to candidate resumes are FREE.

Please note: Employers/organizations may not post or recruit for job opportunities in any venue on campus (including career fairs, employer tables, information sessions, and on-campus interviews) that require students/alumni to pay a fee for training or placement, or rent or purchase any type of presentation or sales materials/supplies.
