COLLEGE WIDE COMMITTEES
Educational Policy Committee
The Educational Policy Committee (EPC) has the responsibility to advise the Vice President for Academic Affairs, and thereby the President, on the academic policy of the college. The duties of the EPC include the
initiation of new academic programs, effecting changes in existing programs, and conducting curriculum research, development and evaluation. This is a key committee of the College affording students the opportunity
for direct input (and vote) on the curriculum.
Equal Opportunity & Affirmative Action Committee
The EO/AA Committee advises the Associate Dean of the College/EOAA Officer, and thereby the administration, on all matters relating to equal opportunity, nondiscrimination, and
diversity. Committee members are responsible for representing any issues raised by their constituents; for generating ideas for programming, policy and procedural changes, etc.; and for assisting in raising awareness and
improving the campus climate for all people. A particular effort is made to ensure diversity of the membership of this committee, which also includes administrators, faculty, and staff.
Library Committee
The Library Committee advises the Head Librarian on any issues/concerns/ideas pertaining to operations and services of the Marian Library.
Campus Safety and Security Advisory Committee
The College regularly reviews safety standards, policies, and procedures. This committee of six persons is made up of both men and women (at least 50% female), and has two representing
members from the student body, the faculty, and the administrative staff. The committee addresses concerns related to campus safety, and is chaired by both the Vice President for Business Affairs and the Dean for Student
Affairs.
Student Life Committee
Student activities, residence life, health services, athletics, and campus ministry comprise the different offices under the Student Affairs Department. The Dean for Student Affairs chairs this committee
that seeks to address issues related to college life outside of the classroom.
Peer Disciplinary Review Board
The Office of Residence Life, specifically the Assistant Director of Residence Life, advises a board made up of students whose goal is to focus on student self-discipline, behavior modification,
and respect for the rights and privileges of others. It allows residents to set forth their own standards of living and express what will or will not be tolerated in the residential community.
BOARD OF TRUSTEES COMMITTEES

facilities and/or programs.
