On behalf of the Student Affairs Staff, I hope you enjoy your time at Daemen. Whether you are beginning your college career or continuing it, there will be exciting times ahead. The Student Affairs Staff is here to support you in the transitions that naturally occur when balancing life and higher education. We hope to challenge you to reach your goals while supporting you in those efforts. We have found that for individual growth, there must be some feelings of discomfort. Our wish is for you to feel the discomfort and move through it towards learning. For us, education is about learning inside and outside of the classroom. We also believe that education and learning occur over a lifetime. We hope you will learn from us; we know we will learn from you. Daemen College Student Affairs Philosophy

The Student Affairs Staff will:

Create a caring student-centered and Daemen College-centered atmosphere which promotes student development, mutual care and respect, ethics, leadership, balance, wellness and a place that people are excited about.

Foster a campus environment that promotes an understanding about Student Affairs and the educational aspect of out-of-the-classroom learning through both negative and positive issues. Enhance the understanding that learning and fun are not mutually exclusive.

Promote a belief that students and their wellness are the focus of decision-making. Facilitate an atmosphere where individuals are empowered to voice ideas and concerns.

Expand and develop traditions whereby students are proud to be at Daemen College and will carry the traditions of their alma mater into the future.
