Daemen’s counselors provide a variety of services to students including individual counseling, group counseling, mediation, and consultation.  Our counseling center is located in Duns Scotus Hall room 228.

Individual Counseling

Students will meet privately one-on-one with their counselor addressing areas of concern. Registered students are permitted to attend up to fifteen sessions per academic year free of charge.

Group Counseling

Daemen’s counselors will offer group counseling sessions based upon student need. Watch for details!

Students who are experiencing a conflict (eg: with roommates, partners, etc) may request a one-on-one mediation session. All participants must be registered Daemen students and agreeable to participate.

Students are also welcome to request a consultation with a counselor to discuss a situation or person they are concerned about.

"I think one of the most crucial aspects of the Daemen curriculum is the required internship. I was an accounting intern for both a private health care company and a certified public accounting firm. I was able to apply lessons learned in the classroom to real business situations. When my internships were over, each company offered me a full-time position."
