Shannon Radder, MS. Ed., LMHC,

Shannon RadderDirector of Counseling Services


Shannon is a proud Daemen alumna graduating with a Bachelors degree in Psychology specializing in Human Services.  She continued her education at St. Bonaventure University earning her Masters in Education degree in Counseling Education.  She is currently a certified school counselor and a licensed mental health counselor.  She returned to school attending the University at Buffalo and completed a certificate in trauma counseling.  Most recently, she spent the last nine years working as a child and family therapist for a mental health outpatient clinic treating children, adolescents, young adults, and families with mental health difficulties.  In addition to her clinical position, she accepted a teaching position as an adjunct professor at a local college where she has been teaching since 2007.  Shannon enjoys doing yoga and pilates, cooking, and spending time with her niece and nephew. 

Deloris Fields-Jones, LMSW,

Deloris attended Daemen College (formerly Rosary Hill College) and graduated with a major in Sociology and a minor in Psychology.  She received her Masters Degree from the University at Buffalo.  Deloris began her career with the Erie County Department of Probation as a probation officer in the Juvenile Diversion Unit of Family Court.  Because of a layoff, Deloris moved to the Erie County Department of Senior Services.  This position was the career move that led her to eventually obtain a position with the federal government, Department of Veterans Affairs.  Deloris worked as a clinical social worker in several areas while at the VA: geriatrics, in/outpatient clinic, the palliative care and end of life ward, as well as the hospital home-based program as an outreach social worker doing home visits.  Deloris also was employed at Daemen College as the Director of the Higher Education Opportunity Program.  Her love of working with students eventually landed her a position as an adjunct professor in the Social Work Department at Daemen.  Deloris has recently retired from the VA Hospital and devotes some of her time teaching and counseling at Daemen.  Her favorite saying as far as the time she spends at Daemen is “when you love what you do, it loves you back.”  Deloris and her husband, Adam, reside in Amherst, NY.  They have two daughters, Crystal and Brianne, one son, Sean, and two grandchildren, Chase and Camille. 

Nick Gazzoli, CASAC,

Nick Gazzoli was born and raised in New York City.  He attended college in Pennsylvania at Muhlenberg College earning a Bachelors degree in psychology and philosophy.  He earned his Masters degree in clinical psychology at The New School in New York City.  Nick earned his CASAC (credentialed alcoholism and substance abuse counselor) credential and worked in the South Bronx area for a couple of years before moving to Western New York to start his family.  He has been working full time as an addiction counselor at Horizon Health Services for the last five years as well as working with the students of Daemen part time for the last four years.   He is currently the proud father of two and is an avid basketball player.

In Daemen, I took ESL classes to improve my English. I worked at Canavan Desk and made a lot of friends over there. I participated in a Business dinner with my professors. I was invited to join a family party by my professors. During the weekends, I often take the school shuttle to the shopping mall. These experiences helped me to ease into the American-style of study, life, and business.
