Room Selection Process for Current Students 2014-2015

*This process has passed for the 2014-15 academic year.

Housing Cards will be available after submitting a $100 housing deposit to student accounts starting in March. Cards are due to the Office of Housing & Residence Life by Thursday, April 3rd, 2014 at 4 PM.

Housing Selection will occur on Wednesday, April 9th at 5 PM in the Wick Social Room. Those invited to the initial housing selection will have their room representative notified on their Daemen email no later than Tuesday, April 8th at 12 PM.

The Residence Life staff will host two informational meetings to review the housing selection process for current students. These meetings will occur:

  • Tuesday, March 4th in the Wick Social Room @ 11:30 AM
  • Tuesday, March 18th in Alumni Lounge @ 11:30 AM

If you are unable to attend one of these meetings, you can seek out your RA or stop by the office. One of our staff members would be more than welcomed to review the process with you.

*If you or your student has been put on the waiting list, this means that your student will not be notified of their housing placement until the end of June. Students on the waiting list will be notified via Daemen email.

Information on Housing Selection for the 2014-2015 year for new students will be provided through the Admissions Office. Please speak with your admissions counselor for more information. For specific housing questions, please call our office at 716-839-8200 and speak with Jill Cole.

Housing placements for all resident students will be distributed at the end of June. If you do not hear from our office by July 4th, please contact us at 716-839-8200.

Room Change Week

Room Change Week is an opportunity for resident students to move rooms midyear. In order for a move to occur, the students must find a new room or roommate, fill out the appropriate paperwork, submit to Residence Life and then the move will be confirmed or denied by December 6th, 2014 via email. Residence Life IS NOT responsible for finding rooms for students to change into. This program is student driven.

In Daemen, I took ESL classes to improve my English. I worked at Canavan Desk and made a lot of friends over there. I participated in a Business dinner with my professors. I was invited to join a family party by my professors. During the weekends, I often take the school shuttle to the shopping mall. These experiences helped me to ease into the American-style of study, life, and business.
