Alternative Housing

Off Site Campus Housing

It is Daemen College’s policy to provide housing for all entering students who desire it. Once all on-campus rooms have been filled, students wishing to attend Daemen as resident students are provided a room in our off-site housing options.

Collegiate Village

As demand for student housing has increased, we have continued to identify ways to meet our students' needs in creative ways.  We are very pleased to have a partnership with Collegiate Village, a recently renovated housing development dedicated to offering high quality student housing.  Collegiate Village offers housing to only students, and boasts a diverse array of residents hailing from Buffalo's colleges and university.  Located 2.3 miles from Daemen's campus, shuttle service is provided on the half hour directly to and from Daemen.  All students living at Collegiate Village are placed in furnished apartment-style housing complete a full kitchen with state of the art appliances, living room, and in-unit laundry with other Daemen students.  Students are packaged through financial aid as a resident student and have the option to receive an on-campus meal plan.

Collegiate Village has their own Residence Life staff to assist students as the Residence Life staff would do on Daemen's campus.

Homewood Suites

Students on our waiting list for our on-campus and Collegiate Village offerings may also be temporarily placed at Homewood Suites, located at 1130 Millersport Highway in Amherst, NY and approximately 2 miles from Daemen’s campus. Students living at the Homewood Suites enjoy both the amenities offered by the hotel, as well as the services provided by the College. Like on-campus resident students, students at the Homewood have a roommate and access to their on-campus meal plan. Because the Homewood is considered and extended stay hotel, student rooms are comfortable and include kitchenette, living area, a separate bedroom areas, cable television and high-speed internet. Shuttle service is provided by the College to make sure that students are able to attend classes, make use of academic resources, and enjoy extracurricular and social activities. Students are moved to on-campus housing as space becomes available throughout the semester.
