Daemen College, through its Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs, will prepare and inspire students to become licensed and certified independent practitioners of ABA services in settings that promote ethical and professional practice, diversity, and lifelong learning.

A Licensed Behavior Analyst designs, implements and evaluates environmental modifications using behavioral stimuli and consequences to produce socially significant improvement in human behavior. This may include the use of direct observation, measurement, and functional analysis of the relationship between environment and behavior.

Program Highlights

  • Evening classes are geared toward the working professional.
  • Experienced faculty to provide real-life examples and opportunities to learn in the area of ABA
  • Courses will include didactic, interactive, and clinical components, and will be delivered on Daemen's main campus in multiple formats including traditional classroom instruction infused with interactive activities
  • Opportunities to practice the development and evaluation of assessment and intervention, including behavior measurement, assessment, change elements, procedures, and systems
  • Learn ethical and professional practice in working with families, members of the community, and other practitioners
  • Includes a Practicum Course where students will obtain the required 150 hours of supervised clinical work under the direction of a Licensed Behavior Analyst
  • Partnerships with local service agencies for experience hours
  • Following completion of program, graduates will be eligible to apply for licensure in New York State as a Licensed Behavior Analyst
