Virtual Athletic Training Summer Camp

Who Should Attend?

Any high school student who will be in grades 9-12 as of September 2020 and is interested in a career in sports medicine.


Due to CoVID-19 this year’s camp will be held virtually. We will be meeting with campers on Zoom.

Topics Included
  • Profession of Athletic Training
  • Athletic Training Degree options at Daemen College
  • Basic First Aid Principles
  • Basic Human Anatomy, with virtual tour of Gross Anatomy lab
  • Taping, wrapping, and bracing techniques to prevent injury and assist in return to play following injury
  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) *No certification due to virtual setting
  • Common sport injuries; how they happen, injured structures, management
  • Guest Speakers - AT's from Professional, Collegiate, Performing Arts, Military, and Physician Practice settings

$125.00. Includes 5 days of camp instruction and camp swag bag, including a t-shirt. Items will be mailed directly to campers.
