The Daemen College Dietetic Internship program is a post-baccalaureate, supervised practice distance program that allows interns to complete supervised practice in the geographic region of choice.


Second Round Match Process

To be eligible for the second round match, you must have participated in the DICAS / D&D Digital match process and NOT received a match. 

If you are interested in applying and meet the admission criteria posted on the DI webpage:

  1. Complete the Daemen College Graduate application. For questions regarding the application, contact Megan Beardi at mbeardi@daemen.edu. For questions regarding the internship, contact Robin Schenk at rschenk1@daemen.edu.
  2. Release your DICAS materials to Daemen College, Dietetic Internship 
  3. Email Robin Schenk at rschenk1@daemen.edu to make your interest known
  4. We will begin screening applications on Friday, April 13, 2018, and will contact you by email regarding acceptance to the program or if additional information or a telephone interview is required. 
  5. Application review will continue until the class is filled or until June 1, 2018.

 Preference will be given to applicants with completed preceptor forms for at least the MNT rotation. 


General Information

  • Upon completion, graduates will be eligible to take the exam to become registered dietitian nutritionists.
  • The Daemen College dietetic internship is a fulltime 40-week program. Applicants will be required to secure facilities and preceptors outside of a 75-mile radius of Daemen College.
  • Facility and Preceptor Forms can be found on the DI website and should be completed and submitted with the application. Students without completed preceptor forms in the application packet will not be considered.  
  • The Daemen College Dietetic Internship has been granted candidacy status for accreditation by ACEND, 120 Riverside Plaza, Suite 2000, Chicago, Illinois 60606-6995, 312-899-0040 ext. 5400.
