Why did you choose Daemen?
I choose Daemen after getting to meet the head of the animation department, Professor Mike Jones. He allowed me to sit in on a freshman animation class, and helped me create my first animation before I was even in college. I was impressed with how knowledgeable he is as an animator and professor having been an animator in the industry even working at studios such as Disney, and DreamWorks.
In what ways are you involved on campus?
I am a Tour Guide, and Work in the Animation Department.
What advice would you give to a prospective student?
"There are only four rules you need to remember:
1 Make the plan.
2 Execute the plan.
3 Expect the plan to go off the rails.
4 Throw away the plan. - Leonard Snart / Captain Cold"
What excites you most about being a tour guide?
It is exciting to be able to help inform perspective students, and positively promote Daemen. Also, being a tour guide helps me reach my daily step goal.
What is your most memorable moment at Daemen?
One of my most memorable moments at Daemen was getting to go to last year's Senior Animation showing at the Drive In. The show displays all of the senior films made that year. I got to see all of the senior's hard work on display, while supporting my senior friend and spending time with my other animation friends.
How has Daemen changed or shaped your life?
Daemen has shaped me by preparing me for life after college by reminding me the importance of time management, focus, hard work, and teaching me the tools I will need for future jobs.
Who inspires you the most?
In general my sister inspires me the most. She is incredibly hardworking and even while she was away at school or even now while she works three jobs she still manages to take time to spend time with me and make sure I am ok.
