Why did I choose Daemen College?
The first time I visited Daemen, I knew it was the perfect fit. Its proximity to home and small class sizes were important to me.
Why did you choose your present major?
After being involved in athletics and watching friends and teammates go through different injuries, I knew I wanted to be able to help prevent injury and rehabilitate others. I also had the opportunity to participate in Daemen College’s Athletic Training camp during the summer which also helped my decision.
What do you like best about Daemen College?
As a student from a small high school, being able to build relationships with professors is important. At Daemen, you’re not just a number in a lecture hall, your professors truly care about your well being and academics. I love being able to stop by a professor’s office whether it’s to talk about my academics or just to say hello and ask how their day is going.
Describe your academic experience at Daemen College.
College was not an easy adjustment for me-- classes are demanding and require hard work and time. I have discovered numerous methods to succeed and stay motivated through friends and faculty. It is important to set goals for yourself and make sure you know what your priorities are.
What do you aspire to be after college/what are your career plans?
After graduation, I hope to be an Athletic Trainer in the collegiate setting. I would like to be able to stay in the Buffalo area, but I will consider moving if the right fit came along. My dream would be to work with Olympic athletes or a professional sports team.
