Why did you choose Daemen College?

I chose Daemen College due to its size to accommodate for my hearing loss in addition to faculty-to-student ratio. When I first moved to Buffalo, I took an English Composition class at Daemen as a part-time student. My previous experience with Daemen was very influential in my decision.

Why did you choose your present major?

I love learning about the human body and how it works as a system.

Please describe your academic experience at Daemen College. (Ex: It is challenging, but I know it will prepare me for my career..etc)

The eagerness and patience of the faculty has been instrumental in my academic success. I tend to learn very differently and usually have a lot of questions. Working with the faculty and students always makes learning more enjoyable.

Please describe the impact Daemen faculty, staff and advisors have had on you.

My advisors and faculty are amazing. I have a unique teacher-student relationship with my professors. I feel very comfortable talking about my problems with them.

What are your plans after graduation?

I am currently deciding between going into the science industry, research, or MD/PA. After graduation, I plan on working as a research assistant, shadowing various clinicians and gaining exposure to sustainability and environmental conservation fields. This would help inform my decision for graduate school.

What clubs or organizations have you been a part of here at Daemen College? What kinds of things do they do?

I have been involved with the drawing club and game club to meet people outside of my major. I have also been writing for Insight Newspaper, now under Wildcat Media. I am working on campus with Smart Squad and am involved in the Honors Program. I will be coaching this semester along with other activities. I always relished meeting people with various beliefs, interests, career goals, and philosophies. These experiences allow me to deepen my individuality while being part of a diverse community.
