Global Business

The Daemen experience taught me valuable networking skills and now that I am the Regional Sales Manager for NY, NJ, and PA at Buckeye Fire Equipment Co. out of North Carolina, I take customers to conventions where the products we manufacture are displayed.

What was one of the important items you learned through the MS in Global Business?

The Daemen experience taught me valuable networking skills and now that I am the Regional Sales Manager for NY, NJ, and PA at Buckeye Fire Equipment Co. out of North Carolina, I take customers to conventions where the products we manufacture are displayed. I also take customers to dinners, marketing, and sporting events. Some of my customers are foreigners, and the global business program expatriate tips I learned for working in other countries also applied here when working in places like NYC, where there are many foreign business owners.

How has Daemen College and the Global Business program helped you in your career?

In my words, Daemen College has helped me in my new career especially through a webinar class where they used a system of teaching that is sometimes used at my new job. Also, I was hired not because of my major, but the president of our company said he was impressed by my resume because the Master’s degree proved that I could start a task and finish it. Currently, I am traveling to Minnesota and Canada for Buckeye to help out and they are telling me that our international Manager will need more help in the future in Dubai and Latin America. If I am patient, I will be traveling to places that I studied about at Daemen soon enough.

What were your impressions of Daemen College while you were here?

Daemen was a great experience. I still travel to Buffalo because I have customers there! I would gladly come and talk to current students about working in different states here in the US with international companies and their players. I just did business with a company in Ireland here in NYC!
