Why did you choose Daemen College?

I chose Daemen because I could really tell how much the professors care about our success. I love that I can get to know my teachers and that I am not just a number.

Why did you choose your present major?

I chose the medical field because I’ve always been fascinated by the human body and want to serve others. I chose the physician assistant career, specifically, because I think the blend of collaboration and autonomy is a perfect match for me.

Please describe your academic experience at Daemen College. (Ex: It is challenging, but I know it will prepare me for my career..etc)

College is definitely different than high school! It’s more difficult, however I am learning more about what I am fascinated by. I really enjoy my coursework.

What are your plans after graduation?

After graduation I hope to work in the field of pediatric oncology. I’m not decided on it for sure, but it’s what I’m most fascinated by right now.

What clubs or organizations have you been a part of here at Daemen College? What kinds of things do they do?

I am a part of the Physician Assistant Student Society (PASS), Students Without Borders, and Cru. Students Without Borders travels to the Dominican Republic to provide medical care to underserved communities. I am looking forward to going on that trip in a few years. Cru is a Christian organization on campus that I am a part of. We meet together to talk about our faith, study the Bible, and go on trips together.

What is your favorite campus hangout? Why?

I love to hang out in the RIC. It’s the perfect place to study or to hang out with friends. There are comfy seats and big windows to let sunlight in (when the sun happens to be out).
