Why did you choose Daemen College?
I chose Daemen mostly for the PA program, and because it was a great school close to home.
Why did you choose your present major?
I think the PA profession is a very exciting job, and I will also have the opportunity to make a positive impact on people’s lives. I am very excited to practice medicine, and the PA profession offers a lot of flexibility for specialty changes.
Please describe your academic experience at Daemen College.
The graduate program for PA school is definitely very challenging, but most classes are really interesting. I am also a teaching assistant for the Graduate Anatomy Lab, which has been a wonderful learning experience for me.
Please describe the impact Daemen faculty, staff and advisors have had on you.
I have had some truly wonderful professors in my time at Daemen. It always brightens my day to walk around campus and stop to talk with past professors. The professors in the PA program really take the time to get to know students individually. The PA program also brings in a lot of adjunct professors to teach certain lectures, so I have had the opportunity to meet a variety of doctors and PAs from the Buffalo area.
What are your plans after graduation?
After graduation, I plan on getting a job as a Physician Assistant in either the Buffalo or Rochester area. I’m not sure what I’m going to specialize in yet, but right now I’m thinking either psychiatry or neurology.
What is your favorite campus hangout?
I spend most of my time on the bridge on the second floor of RIC. There are comfortable booths, and it is a really nice place to study in small groups.
