Why did you choose Daemen College?

Daemen College is a uniquely small and inclusive school, yet maintains its ability to provide a highly advanced education. I was introduced to the ‘Daemen family’ before I even arrived. When I first visited Daemen on Scholar’s Day, there were people I recognized that were already assisting me with choosing a school.  I had a strong sense that Daemen would provide me with a well-rounded education while allowing me to make connections that would benefit me in my pursuit of higher education and my career. I received a Trustee’s Scholarship and that solidified my belief that I belonged at Daemen College.

Why did you choose your present major?

I was looking for an education that would prepare me for law school. The ABA-approved Paralegal Studies Program embodies the highest standards for undergraduate legal education. The professors are primarily practicing attorneys, judges, and other exceptional educators who take great pride in expanding legal education at Daemen.

Please describe your academic experience at Daemen.

My current academic program consists of a four-year undergraduate degree in paralegal studies, a minor in political communications, and an additional minor in composition/writing. With the help and guidance from several faculty members, I am receiving an education that is more finely-tailored to my needs than I thought could be possible. Studying across disciplines has not been troublesome; it has been the most rewarding academic experience I have experienced thus far.

What clubs or organizations have you been a part of at Daemen? What kinds of things do they do?

I'm an active member of Daemen’s Paralegal Club which consists of students interested in law, politics, and government. We organize events to meet legal professionals and trips to regional courthouses and areas within law. Additionally, I am a student assistant in the Office of the President, where I have observed the inner-workings of the College.

What are your plans after graduation?

After graduation, I plan on attending law school. I have an incredible interest and dedication to mental hygiene law, so my plans are to continue interning and gaining experience within that area.
