Why did you choose Daemen?

I chose to attend Daemen College because of its reputation for success, the educational and extracurricular opportunities, and lastly, I chose Daemen because of the tight-knit community and school atmosphere.

What advice would you give to a prospective student?

I would tell a prospective student that it’s okay to be nervous about being in an unfamiliar setting; especially if they are going to be away from home for the first time. I think it’s important for them to know that all of the feelings that they experience are valid, but I would reassure them that there are many resources on and off campus to help with their transition into college.

Who is your favorite professor(s) and why?

This decision is difficult because all of the professors in my department have influenced me! If I could choose two professors, I would say that Professor Besch in the Health Promotion/Athletic Training Department and Professor Tutuska of the Health Promotion Department have had the greatest impact on my time at Daemen. Both Professors made my transition into the Daemen Community seemingly effortless, while guiding me to the resources I needed to be successful.

What is your most memorable moment at Daemen?

When I first came to Daemen as a transfer student, I didn’t know anyone. I would have to say that attending the 2016 Back-to-School Luau was one of my most memorable moments because I met the people that would become my closest friends. We are all about the ice-breakers here!

What excites you most about being a tour guide?

I am excited about being a tour guide because I would have an opportunity to provide prospective students and their families with a positive experience on our campus. I am excited to provide insight as to why Daemen is a best fit for all! Like the Tour Guides that assisted me when I was a prospective student, I look forward to being that valuable resource.

How has Daemen changed or shaped your life?

Daemen has given me access to opportunities and resources that I wouldn’t have necessarily been exposed to elsewhere. I’ve had the opportunity to gain critical life skills and build confidence within my abilities, while exploring many opportunities for leadership development. Daemen has truly prepared me for life after college!
