Why did you choose Daemen College?
I chose Daemen because of the class size. It is super important to have a positive connection with professors and advisors, especially in order to be successful.
Why did you choose your present major?
I chose international business because of my interest in learning about culture and change in the world. I have always been interested in pursuing business, but it wasn't until I went to the Dominican Republic on a service trip that I really started to piece together exactly what I want to do.
Please describe your academic experience at Daemen College.
Being only a few weeks in, I noticed that everyone is willing to lend a hand. During classes, it is easy to turn to a neighbor to ask for help or even ask the professor.
Please describe the impact Daemen faculty, staff and advisors have had on you.
Everyone at Daemen is easy to reach, talk to, and learn from. Most importantly, everyone at Daemen wants to be successful and wants their students to be successful. The professors are willing to make themselves available in hopes that students will actually understand the deeper meaning behind concepts discussed in class. Overall, I have had an extremely positive experience with the faculty, staff, and advisors.
Do you live on campus? Please tell us about your on campus experiences.
I live in Canavan Hall because I am a first year student, however, my experience has been positive. It is nice to live on campus to meet other students who have the same interests as I and make new friends that will last a lifetime.
What do you like best about Daemen College?
The class size is a big advantage, I feel like I am getting more time to get to know my classmates and the professor than I would with big class sizes. The class can be tailored to the strengths and weaknesses of the class instead of general topics.
