Why did you choose Daemen?
I chose Daemen because it fulfilled everything on my list. I loved the campus in general, it’s in an extremely safe community, there’s a lot to do around here, and it was just far enough from home. I loved Daemen from the moment I stepped on campus and I still feel that it was the perfect choice for me!
What activities are you involved in on campus?
Currently I am a tour guide and I am on the executive board my sorority Delta Phi Mu. Through these positions I am involved in a lot of fundraising activities on campus as well as campus clean-ups and TGIF’s.
What advice would you give to a prospective student?
My advise to prospective students is don’t be afraid to get involved and make new friends. Just because you did certain things in high school doesn’t mean you have to do them here. Expand your horizons and try new things whether it be joining a new club or just trying a new food in Wick. College is about finding yourself and the best way to do that is to try new things!
How has Daemen changed/shaped your life?
So far Daemen has helped me come out of my comfort zone and try new things. It has allowed me to make new friends who then opened me up to many new experiences as well. Due to this, I have found out new things about myself that I never realized before which has helped me become more comfortable with myself and my program.
Something I wish more people knew about Daemen is...
I wish more people knew nice and accommodating the faculty is. I still have not met a teacher that wouldn’t go out of their way to help me.
My favorite thing to do in Buffalo is...
Go out to eat with my roommates especially on Food Truck Tuesday at Larkin Square.
