Why did you choose Daemen College?

After looking into the Physician Assistant Program and visiting, Daemen offered everything I wanted in a college. I felt at home when I had first stepped onto campus. The school offers small classes, a tight-knit community, endless support from not only the faculty but fellow peers from all years and majors. Daemen provides an environment that gives me all the advantages to excel in such a competitive program.

Why did you choose your present major?

Ever since I can remember, it has always been a dream of mine to be a professional in the medical field. I was unsure of where I wanted to place myself, but by taking the physician assistant path, I am able to continue to expand my horizons throughout my career; changing specialties if I so please, and I would also be able to adjust it to my changing life.

Please describe your academic experience at Daemen College. (Ex: It is challenging, but I know it will prepare me for my career..etc)

The coursework has already proven to be challenging. It has really helped me to not only work hard on learning the content but to also work on my time management and my priorities. I truly enjoy the challenging academic courses, as I know that it will benefit me in the future as I continue through the Physician Assistant Program. Despite their difficulties, I am always interested in what I will be learning next in every class.

Do you live on campus? Please tell us about your on campus experiences.

Living on campus has provided me so many opportunities to meet and interact with fellow classmates and students within my program! The campus always has activities planned out, which are really fun! So I definitely recommend getting yourself out there and go, even if it's just for an hour. I've created such close bonds with great people within such a short amount of time here!

What do you like best about Daemen College?

My favorite part of Daemen is the small-knit community that has been formed on this campus. I feel as though I'm home; everybody is so caring and is always willing to lend a hand whenever one is needed. I enjoy being able to know the names of all my classmates and to not be afraid to ask questions in class. Being in the dining hall, I'm always able to go and see many people that I know, even some of my professors!

What is your favorite campus hangout? Why?

The library is definitely my favorite campus hangout. I'm able to go into one of the study rooms with my friends, focus on our work but also spend time with each other. Time passes by very quickly, but so do our checklists! The RIC also has a cafe, which is perfect when you need that caffeine pick-me-up!
