Upon securing the largest foundation grant award in the institution’s history, Daemen University created the Alfiero School of Business within the College of Health, Human Sciences, and Business in recognition of Foundation 214 and the Alfiero family. Aligned with Daemen’s mission and recent elevation to university status, the Alfiero School of Business is poised to stabilize, strengthen, and grow its high-quality academic offerings in business administration, accounting, and paralegal studies.
Through the Alfiero School of Business, Daemen continues to develop contemporary hybrid and online programs that reduce barriers to accessing higher education for diverse learners. With Foundation 214’s investment, Daemen is now offering veterans the opportunity to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration fully online through grant-supported equivalency exams and Daemen courses in the Accelerated Business Online Veteran Education (ABOVE) program.
In addition, new staff resources and student supports such as mental health counseling, career coaching, and academic advising will elevate services provided for all of Daemen’s student veterans through the newly renovated, contemporary Foundation 214 Veterans Success Center located within the Alfiero School of Business space.
