Daemen College has enjoyed a tremendous amount of recent success from its athletic programs. They have won nine American Mideast Conference North titles in the past six years. The women's basketball team has won six conference titles and participated in seven NAIA National Tournaments since 1996 including the last five in a row. The men's basketball team has won three conference titles and made it all the way to the 'Elite Eight' of the NAIA National Tournament in 2004.The women's volleyball team won three consecutive AMC North titles from 2002- 2004. Daemen athletes have also excelled in the classroom. In 2007-08, the Wildcats had 11 All-America Scholar-Athletes. Their 98 student-athletes had an average GPA of over a 3.0 while 46 of them were on the Dean's List. The women's soccer team led the way with a 3.29 team GPA. The Wildcats are a member of the NAIA and the highly competitive American Mideast Conference. The AMC is the largest conference in the country with 16 schools and has had member institutions win several national championships during the last few years.
