AMHERST, N.Y. – A series of virtual workouts have been created to help Daemen College students stay fit and healthy during the statewide stay home order in an effort to combat the spread of the coronavirus.
AMHERST, N.Y. – As the coronavirus pandemic continues to unfold, the impact of COVID-19 on patient care and health care professionals is being discussed with Daemen College nursing and physician assistant students in spring semester classes, which transitioned to an all online format last month due to the crisis.
AMHERST, N.Y. -- Daemen College has successfully completed its first week of fully online classes, a monumental transition achieved in less than a week through a college-wide effort following the decision to move to remote learning on March 23 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
AMHERST, N.Y. – Daemen College has donated 8,000 gloves to Kaleida Health in response to the critical shortage of personal protective equipment for local health care providers as the Buffalo Niagara region deals with the coronavirus pandemic.
AMHERST, N.Y. – Daemen College student Justin Losowski has won second place in the Eastern Athletic Trainers Association District 2 Student Quiz Bowl competition held at the district convention, making him eligible to advance to the national competition.
4:30 PM to 6:30 PM - Schenck Hall - Room 107: With severe weather events becoming more frequent and more extreme, it is more important than ever that New Yorkers are prepared for disasters. The NY Citizen Preparedness Training Program teaches residents to have the tools and resources to prepare for any type of disaster, respond accordingly and recover as quickly as possible to normal conditions. This training course will provide an introduction to responding to a natural or manmade disaster. Participants will be advised on how to properly prepare for any disaster, including developing a family emergency plan and stocking up on emergency supplies. Each family that attends will receive one preparedness kit.
