AMHERST, N.Y. – Daemen College will welcome more than 500 new students and their families and officially open the 2019-20 academic year at the college’s annual Convocation ceremony scheduled for 3 p.m. Aug. 31 in the Wick Campus Center Dining Room.

AMHERST, N.Y. -- Daemen College will host a site visit by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) for continuing accreditation of the college’s baccalaureate nursing program (RN to BS program – includes 1+2+1 academic progression model) and the master’s/post-master’s certificate nursing programs. This is a concurrent visit with the New York State Education Department Office of the Professions for the purpose of re-registration and accreditation.

AMHERST, N.Y. – Dr. Elizabeth Heilman, who has more than 20 years of experience in higher education administration and teaching, has been appointed chair of education at Daemen College.

AMHERST, N.Y. – Daemen College has chosen 10 outstanding first-year students to receive 2019 Trustee Scholarships, the college’s most prestigious academic scholarship that is renewable throughout their undergraduate studies.

AMHERST, N.Y. – A locally sourced stage adaptation of the critically acclaimed novel “All Quiet on the Western Front,” considered one of the greatest war novels of all time, has been written by director and playwright Dr. Robert Waterhouse, associate professor of theater at Daemen College.
