President of Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus to Speak at Daemen

Mar 27, 2017

AMHERST, N.Y. – Matthew Enstice, president and CEO of the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus (BNMC), will speak at Daemen College’s upcoming Nancy Haberman Gacioch Entrepreneurship Lecture Series event taking place at 5 p.m. April 5 in the Research and Information Commons Room 120.

Enstice is leading an initiative to build on the assets of BNMC to support its mission of furthering economic growth, igniting urban revitalization, and building a strong, thriving community. In cooperation with an array of community partners, he is overseeing a holistic approach to community revitalization, working to address issues critical to the needs of patients, neighbors, visitors, employees, and the community.

Under Enstice’s leadership, BNMC team members are developing improved job opportunities and a robust culture of entrepreneurism, healthy and active living opportunities, new energy models, a more sustainable and safer environment, and enhanced streetscapes in and beyond BNMC’s borders. Central to this work is ongoing engagement with local neighborhoods and community partners to foster collaboration, resource sharing, and creative problem solving to create a model for re-energizing the city that has applications in communities throughout the country.

Prior to returning to his hometown of Buffalo, Enstice worked in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles and New York, including at Broadway Pictures and with Lorne Michaels on “Saturday Night Live.”

The lecture is free and open to the public. The 2017-18 Nancy Haberman Gacioch Entrepreneurship Lecture Series, which is sponsored by the Daemen Entrepreneurship Program, features speakers who recognize the potential that exists in the region through development, revitalization efforts, new programming, job creation, or collaborative endeavors.
