AMHERST, N.Y. -- Daemen College will showcase the academic and creative achievements of students in a special virtual Academic Festival taking place on April 29. The 19th annual festival has been moved to an online format for the health and safety of the campus community in light of the coronavirus pandemic.

“At a time with many uncertainties, we are thrilled to have the opportunity to come together virtually to highlight student scholarship and creativity,” said Dr. Michael Brogan, senior vice president for academic affairs and dean of the college. “Our talented students have devoted much effort to their research and creative works that will be shared in this online event.”

The virtual Academic Festival features a range of disciplines in student presentations, posters, and recordings. Prior to the event being moved to an online format, the following students were honored for their artwork being selected for the 2020 festival: poster and front cover program – Valerie D’Agostino; back cover program – Carly Uzar; back inside cover program – Rachel Witkowski; and t-shirt – Jemal Clarke.
