Graduation Week

Congratulations, Class of 2019! Your moment has arrived! On behalf of the Student Activities Office we could not be happier for you and your accomplishments in your time here at Daemen. Whether this is your first time on one of our pages or your hundreth, we hope the following information revolving around Graduation Week is informative for you. Before going any further... 

Make sure you:

  1. Have submitted an application for degree with the Registrar's Office.
  2. Have indicated if you are (or are not) participating in the Graduation Ceremony.
  3. Have purchased your cap & gown through the bookstore. Use this link to purchase yours online: www.daemen.shopoakhalli.com. (Online orders can be placed up until May 3rd. After May 3rd, stop by the Bookstore to purchase your cap & gown.)

  • Monday, May 13th

Cap Decorating

4:00pm - 7:00pm, Wick First Floor

We're kicking off Senior Week with an event you won't want to miss! The first floor of Wick will be home to our Cap Decorating event. Come by to not only create your unique design for your cap at graduation, but to enjoy great food, drinks, giveaways/prizes, photo opportunities, and much more! This event is free for all graduating students. 

 

Nursing Department Dinner

6:00pm, Musical Fare

Home of the original Dave & Busters; Join your fellow graduates at Rocky's for bowling, games, food, and tons of fun! Your ticket gets you food, unlimited bowling, bumper cars, and all the arcade gameplay you can handle! This event requires the purchase of a ticket to attend.

Bisons Baseball Game

6:05pm, Sahlen Field: Buffalo NY

Whether you've seen a Buffalo Bisons game or not you won't want to miss this game against the Gwinnett Stripers at Sahlen Field! Your ticket includes a hot dog and drink as well! This event requires the purchase of a ticket to attend.

Picnic Lunch

Noon – 1:30pm, Wick North Lawn

Free to the entire Daemen community. Rain location will be in the Wick Center Dining Room.

 

Doctor of Physical Therapy Graduation Reception

4:00pm – 5:30pm, Wick Center Alumni Lounge

Open to DPT graduates, family, and friends.

 

Leadership & Innovation Reception

5:00pm - 8:00pm, Rosary Hall

Come celebrate the graduating cohorts of Leadership & Innovation and Nursing Executive Leadership! Light hors d'oeuvres will be served and a cash bar with beer and wine will be available. Please RSVP by May 2nd to daemen3eoleaders@gmail.com

 

Buffalo Harbor Cruise

7:00pm - 10:00pm, Buffalo NY

Sail off into the sunset with one of your final nights as a Daemen student on the Buffalo Harbor Cruise. Transportation is provided for those who purchase a ticket. On the cruise we'll have a buffet for dinner, complimentary beer, wine, and soda, as well as a DJ! Don't miss this Daemen tradition! This event requires the purchase of a ticket to attend.

Graduation Rehearsal (for Undergraduate students)

All graduating UNDERGRADUATE students MUST attend.

 

Graduation Mini-Rehearsal (for Graduate students)

12:30pm, Wick Center Dining Room

Graduating graduate students should attend, IF you have any concerns about the pronunciation of your name, of IF you have any questions about your diploma, and/or academic related inquiries. 

BFA Thesis Exhibit

Annual Excellence Awards Ceremony & Reception

Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony at Kleinhans Music Hall (BS, BA, BFA)

10:30am - Outside doors open to Kleinhans Lobby. Graduates and families begin to arrive. 

11:00am - Line-up begins. (Graduates need to be in the Mary Seton Room of Kleinhans.) Doors open to Kleinhans Auditorium for general seating.

12:00pm - Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony begins. (The ceremony lasts approximately 2 hours.)

 

2019 Daemen College Physician Assistant White Coat Ceremony

10:00am, Wick Center Social Room

 

Graduate Commencement Ceremony at Kleinhans Music Hall (BS/MS, MS, MPH, MSW, DNP, DPT)
