This program prepares Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioners to provide direct patient care to adults from adolescence through senescence in a variety of clinical settings.

Program Highlights

  • Daemen nursing students have access to free educational information from the Why Wound Care initiative.​
  • Nurse practitioner faculty maintain clinical practice in the Western New York area.
  • Students have an individual faculty advisor who is available on campus for appointments as needed.
  • Students can offer input on clinical site selection.
  • Daemen’s AGPCNP graduates are employed in a variety of in-patient and out-patient clinical settings including women’s health, cardiology, pulmonary, neurology, and critical care.

Full-time or Part-time Study

  • Students may enroll in the graduate program on a full-time or part-time basis.
  • Students may transfer previous graduate coursework from other institutions with the approval of the department chair.
  • Students not matriculated in the graduate program may, with the consent of the department chair, enroll in up to nine credits of graduate coursework on a space-available basis.
