Daemen University Career Services offers a variety of services to undergraduates, graduate students, and alumni to assist them in their career decision-making and job search process. All of our services are voluntary, with students/alumni choosing the services that are best suited to their needs.

Mr. Lamark Shaw is the Director of Career Services and an adjunct professor who teaches CFE101 at Daemen University. Mr. Shaw also is the Sales Manager/Buyer for United Men’s Fashion in Buffalo, New York. He has a BS in Design from Buffalo State College, an MS in Organizational Leadership from Medaille College, and an Entrepreneurial Leadership Certificate from the University of Buffalo. Mr. Shaw is currently working on his Ph.D. in Organization and Management at Capella University.

Tiffany Dillon is the Assistant Director of Career Services at Daemen University and loves working with students and alumni regarding their career and professional development. Currently, Tiffany serves on the Board of Directors for the Western New York Association of College Career Centers (WNYACCC) as their President and has also served as their former Secretary. She is also on the WNYACCC committees for Teacher Recruiter Day (TRD) and the Western New York Career & Internship Fair (WNY CIF).
Tiffany has also served on the Board of Directors for the Buffalo Niagara Human Resource Association (BNHRA) in the roles of Past President as well as College Relations Director which allowed her to work with students from various colleges/universities across Western New York. It is with this experience that she realized her passion for working directly with students. Tiffany has previously worked as both a Recruiter and Staffing Manager for one of the premier staffing agencies in Buffalo. Tiffany’s earlier career stemmed from her culinary degree from Johnson & Wales University which led her to intern at Rich Products Corporation in their Talent Acquisition department. She received her Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership from Medaille University.

Arianna Coppola received a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work and a Master of Social Work at Daemen University and joined the Career Services staff in October 2021 as a Career Advisor. While completing her degrees, she worked in the Office of Student Affairs as a Work-Study student, to support the needs of students and the Daemen community. From being an Orientation Leader to having served as the graduate representative of the Student Government Association, Arianna realized that she enjoys working directly with students to enhance their experiences while at Daemen. She has since then transitioned to the role of a Career Advisor to help students in their career and professional growth.

Michelle Thompson is the Employer and Student Relations Coordinator. In addition to providing administrative support and supervising the Work-Study Office Assistants, Michelle is responsible for the project management of career fairs and onsite employer recruitment. Michelle is also responsible for the universities Post Graduate Survey. Having previously worked at Autism Services, Inc. and the Research Foundation of SUNY Buffalo, she brings with her an extensive background in project management, grants management, budget development, fiscal forecasting, personnel, and office management.

Da’Shawn Hines has joined the Career Services team as a Graduate Assistant while he completes his Master of Business Administration degree at Daemen University. In addition to completing his undergrad at Daemen, with a specialization in marketing, Da’Shawn has held internship roles at Avalon Sports and Adpro Sports. The off-campus opportunities have helped him gain graphic design and marketing experience. He has also helped with off-campus marketing and content creation for Underrated Evolution, an up-and-coming music group consisting of students from Daemen University. His background made him a perfect fit to help Career Services improve its campaigns for students. He is interested in learning more about how advertising impacts companies locally and internationally.
