Meet the Staff

Lauren Vohwinkel currently serves as the Director of Conference Services. In her role, she oversees the day-to-day operations of internal and external events on campus .She brings to the team more than 8 years of event management, marketing, and non-profit organization event planning. Her work in event planning led her to higher education and planning both small and large campus-wide events. Lauren is dedicated to creating memorable and seamless guest experiences. 

Lauren holds a bachelor's degree in Public Relations and Advertising, and a master's degree in Higher Education Administration and Student Affairs Administration from SUNY Buffalo State University. She is excited to be part of the Daemen community and build partnerships with external clients. 

Chris Jackson serves as the Event Coordinator for Conference Services at Daemen University, where he helps bring campus events and experiences to life. In his role, he coordinates day-to-day internal events. Chris brings positivity and enthusiasm to event planning, campus programming, and student engagement, with a passion for creating welcoming, inclusive, and memorable experiences where every guest feels seen, supported, and valued.

Chris earned his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from SUNY Buffalo State University and his master’s degree in Higher Education Leadership and Administration from Canisius University. As he begins his professional career in higher education, Chris is excited to build meaningful connections across the Daemen community, create positive experiences for everyone, and contribute to a welcoming and inclusive environment that reflects the Conference Services philosophy: “Be Our Guest.”
