Grow with Google at Daemen University FAQ

1. Go to Grow with Google at Daemen University
2. Choose Log in with Daemen University
3. Accept the terms and conditions for use
4. Enter a recovery email (optional, but recommended, as you will be able to access it if you leave Daemen, as per our University Email Policy)

Review the available certificates and specializations. Choose any of the available offerings. You will be asked to commit to the certificate.

You will receive emails confirming your enrollment, progress, and reminders. You can filter these from your inbox in Gmail or change your Coursera notification settings in My Account > Communication Preferences.

Once you choose a certificate(s), they will be at the top of your login page. You will see the other available certificates below. You may choose any available certificate. Please note the time required to complete each one.

Daemen University, in collaboration with CICU and Google, will provide access to selected Google certificates via Coursera.

Through this collaboration, active through December 2027, Daemen University students, faculty, and staff have exclusive access to curated Google AI Certificates designed to build practical, workforce-ready skills in one of the fastest-growing areas of the global economy.

To unenroll, please submit an IT Ticket.

After you log in to Coursera, you will see the available “Grow with Google at Daemen University” certificates and specializations. Choose them to enroll. You will receive an email confirming your enrollment.

Choose My Learning at the top of the screen to find what you are enrolled in. Choose Daemen University in the upper left to see available options.

Choose your icon in the upper left to control your settings and personalize your experience.

Choose Explore to see other Coursera offerings, but note that only the specific “Grow with Google at Daemen University” courses are free; others may have associated costs. 

This program ends December 31, 2027. 

When you enroll in a certificate or specialization, you will be asked to commit. In addition, as Daemen has 500 licenses to share across our environment, we ask that once you choose to obtain access, you must do the following:

• Activate the license within 14 days.
• Begin coursework in a program within 30 days.
• Maintain reasonable progress within 3 months
• Notify the university via an IT Ticket if you no longer intend to participate.
• Understand that licenses that are inactive for 90 days may be reassigned to another participant.

Requirements for using Coursera on a computer: 

• To use Coursera, you'll need a reliable Internet connection and a computer with at least 1GB of memory/RAM. Requirements for the Coursera mobile app: 
• You can use the Coursera mobile app with iPhone and iPad (iOS 9.0+) and Android (5.0+) devices.

Download the Coursera mobile app from the Apple App Store or Google Play.

The selected certificates and specializations Coursera can be taken from beginning to end on your mobile phone, laptop, or tablet. 

Coursera is available anywhere, anytime. Courses are available offline, subtitled in over 35 languages, and available on Android and iOS. Coursera keeps lectures and lessons short, so learners can make meaningful progress.

Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, Microsoft Edge. If you're using an older browser, updating it can help resolve issues with the admin tools. To use Coursera on a mobile device, please download the Coursera mobile application on the Apple App Store or Google Play.
