Commencement Honors
The Baccalaureate degree with distinction is awarded to students who have maintained a high degree of scholastic excellence. Traditional Latin honors are conferred at Commencement and noted on the student’s diploma:
- Summa Cum Laude for a 3.70 cumulative grade point average.
- Magna Cum Laude for a 3.50 cumulative grade point average.
- Cum Laude for a 3.30 cumulative grade point average.
Students must have completed a minimum of 30 hours at Daemen to be eligible for graduation.
The GPA for Daemen coursework must be appropriate to the honor students overall GPA must be a minimum of 3.30.
* Credits not included as actual Daemen course work include: Nursing validation exam credit; Credit for Learning from Life Experience (CLLE); challenge exams; cross registrations.
