Best of 716 WinnerDaemen University is seeking a visionary leader to play a central role in shaping the success of a new school of Arts, Sciences & Education following organizational restructuring at Daemen from two divisions into four schools. The inaugural dean will start on or around June 1, 2022, and collaborate with faculty and staff to establish the new School’s identity and strategic direction. The Dean will oversee eleven academic departments that offer face to face and online programs in areas including the arts, humanities, natural sciences, and accredited undergraduate and graduate programs in education. The new dean’s term aligns with the launch of a new General Education curriculum designed to ensure a strong foundation in the liberal arts for students across all academic programs. The Dean will report to the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and join a campus community that emphasizes teaching and research excellence, student engagement, and inclusive student success. In alignment with Daemen’s strategic plan, the new dean will be charged with growing enrollment and new programs, and fostering a culture of philanthropy and grant writing to support faculty scholarship and other strategic priorities. The ideal candidate will understand the changing landscape of higher education and be prepared to innovate and advance initiatives in support of Daemen's emerging national distinction as an institution of academic excellence.
